This is a 'Cardigan Tie'
It has an approximate diameter of 40mm (11/2 inches). It is Silver plated metal with 2 Dichroic Glass Cabochons, one approx. 7mm diameter and one approx. 9mm diameter. It has a Silver plated loop at the back through which the Cardigan ends pass.
Equally suitable for scarves, sarongs and pashminas, this is an item of beauty to match your clothing. It is beautiful to wear with our Oceana Knitwear Standard Cardigans and Boleros. It is not suitable for Oceana Swallows, Ribbed, or Short Sleeves as these do not have the ends to tie!

Dichroic Glass has a multi-layer coating placed on the glass by using a highly technical vacuum deposition process.
The main characteristic of Dichroic Glass is that it has a transmitted colour (where light passes through the glass) and a completely different reflective colour (where light reflects off the glass). Furthermore, these two colours shift depending on angle of view. With the play of light, together with its vibrant colour, Dichroic Glass is a prime tool used to add interest to any piece.
Plated Silver just like solid Silver should be cleaned occasionally. Often a rub with a soft cloth is all that's required; although the piece will also benefit from the use of a proprietory Silver cleaner.
